Zimbardo's heady days of hypnotic tribal rhythms seem a distant memory now
that he has stripped things back to basics, re-invented his sound, and
taken the dance scene by the scruff of the neck, demanding that it listen
to his blistering electro influenced twisted dirty house productions and
remixes.
His often edgy and glitchy sci-fi stomp has thrust Z back into the
limelight with a long list of the worlds top jocks queueing up to give big
props to his unique new sounds. Mason, DJ Dan, John Acquaviva, Filterheadz,
Mashtronic and many more have Z's productions on heavy rotation worldwide,
and his new productions have already seen some seriously high profile
compilation appearances. DJ Dan's Lift 2 Compilation, and Mark James /
Tocadisco's SUMMADAYZE compilation are two notable examples.
2007 already holds great things for Zimbardo, who now co-hosts the 'Eden
(Ibiza) & Benchmarc On Air' Radio Show on Proton. Ibiza superclub Eden and
Z's label Benchmarc have teamed up in 2007 to bring a combined flavour of
the white isle to the airwaves, and plans are afoot for a series of
Benchmarc events on Ibiza throughout the 2007 Summer Season.
Also in the pipeline are Zimbardo collaboration projects with Scott
Bradford (Lexicon Ave), Filterheadz, Mashtronic and Elite Force, alongside
an ever growing DJ schedule as the world wakes up and takes note of the
floor destroying new sound of Zimbardo.
