TANTAMANNA / BE QUIET / PHANTOMAX

These projects began in 2001, from collaborations between the digital experimenter Luca Tudisco , the Maestro Of Classical Music Andrea Cardinale .Their main purpose was to offer the public an original and innovative repertoire as a result of a bold experimantation and careful pursuit of sounds effects. Since 01 they have released several records under different names such as Tantamanna, Be Quiet, Phantomax, ranging all over dance and ambient styles going through trip-hop, drum'n'bass and soundtrack sounds. Then, in 04 two others members added theirself to the team; they are Max Sobrero ( sound engineer ), and Paolo Penco ( musicologist ).In January 2004 they released their most ambitious project created in a joint venture with the Airplane rec. ( DB Boulevard-Moonie ), and german Warner Bros.:Sunday Morning' cover resang for the occasion by the legendary rock'n'roll icon Lou Reed and Vanessa St. James. The song became at the top of the Italian and internationals dance charts, and the group himself played live at CD Live TV Show at Rai2.With his second placement in the italian dance chart, this is actually the most commercial success of the band but others became shortly.....welcome in Be Quiet zone....

Andrea Cardinale
He got the diploma in violin at the conservatory “N. Paganini” in Genoa. He has attended various specialization courses at the Musical Academy “O. Respighi” in Rome at the Musical School “G.B. Viotti” in Vercelli, held by Mr. Ruggero Ricci and Mr. Franco Gulli. Moreover, he has been studying at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimora (USA) with Mr. Berl Senofsky and in Milan with Mr. Damiano Cottalasso at the Scala Theatre. At the moment, he is perfecting with Mr. Giuseppe Gaccetta, who is the last descendant of the Genoese school founded by Nicolò Paganini and his successors Sivori and Sfilio. He usually performs in concerts both as soloist and in various chamber formations. He has performed during tournées in Italy, France, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, United Kingdom, Polonia, USA, Algeria, Brazil and Malaysia in the most famous concert halls, such as the Madison Tower Hall in New York, the City Council Hall in Manchester, the Palace of Culture in Varsavia, the Tohnhalle in Zurich and the Gasteig Halle in Munchen. He has also performed during some important music festivals, such as the ones held in Spoleto and in Santa Fiora. In 1990 he joined the “European Symphonic Orchestra”. He has recorded pieces for national and private TV broadcasters (RAI, Mediaset, LA7, Tele Più) As a member of the groups Be Quiet , Tantamanna e Phantomax he has recorded various CDs for Italian, English, German and American Records Companies, spread over 30 countries. The violin he usually plays is a “Villaume” created in 1864 (Devoto Private Collection).

Max Sobrero
Graduated in Bologna in 1993 as a Sound Engineer has then staged in London for Various Major Labels Studios for which he did editing and mastering Jobs on middle and high profile productions.Back to Italy he woked for several time as a resident Sound Thecnician for important Live Music Clubs in Genoa and Milan and worked on the production of drum'n'bass and hip-hop material on behalf of dutch and french labels besides editing and scoring on tv commercial. He's at the moment part of the Be Quiet, Tantamanna, Phantomax Team producing both dance and other musical forms.

Luca Tudisco
He studied electronic music at the CPM in Milan.Creative prime mover and tireless digital manipulator.With the moniker “Be Quiet” (Andrea Cardinale & Luca Tudisco ) won many prestigious national music competitions such as Sonica 98,Eurocanta 98 ( organised by Radio Rai2 ),Arezzo Wave 00 ( best band of the year from Liguria ) and others.With his band named Be Quiet performed on tour all over Italy and took part in several television and radio broadcast ( Rai, Radio Rai,TMC,Mediaset;Tele + and MTV).Actually, he hardly works on tecnical shapes in studio for Tantamanna,Phantomax and Be Quiet , but also look over others national and international famous artists with his assistance, ideas, sounds and productions.

Paolo Penco
Musicologist and creative mind, he added himself to the project as friendly ear and wise advise .he gives an essential support to the new productions.
